The Eco House is the central feature of Hall 2 at the show, highlighting the future of living in a way that is also friendly to the environment.

For almost a quarter of a century the Daily Mail Ideal Home Show has highlighted the importance of green topics such as energy conservation and recycling. At the 2008 Centenary Show many of these ideas are taken a stage further in the Eco House.

The house is the brainchild of architectural designer, John Prewer, who for over 20 years has advocated sustainable innovation and the virtues of modular building (building in kit form). If the ‘kit’ word conjures up images of uninspired, prefabricated clones, the Eco House will be a revelation pointing the way to how homes could be constructed in the near future.
